Acupuncture is the technique of using very fine needles that pierce the skin at specific points in order to treat or prevent disease. Although pets have only recently been treated in the West, horses, cattle and pigs have been treated in China for over 3000 years. Veterinary acupuncture is part of a whole system of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) which invovles diet, Chinese herbal remedies and other techniques. TCVM is used to diagnose, prevent and treat disease, and is based on the principle that the body always tries to balance and regulate itself.
As well as physical needling using traditional acupuncture needles, we are equipped with a Class IV veterinary laser device to provide treatment for our pet patients when needling is not feasible.

We use high quality human grade herbs that are produced in China and processed in Canada. Most herbal formulas are available in powdered form for easy mixing with food for your pets. Alternatively, the herbs can be packaged in capsules for oral administration.
